ANALOX IN RUNNING FOR TWO AWARDS

Analox Ltd has been named as a finalist in two high profile awards – the UK Best Factory Awards, and in the Innovation category at the Made in the North East Awards.

The Stokesley-based manufacturer of gas analysis equipment is the only Yorkshire company named as a finalist in the prestigious UK Best Factory Awards 2012.  The 14 finalists have been selected by Cranfield School of Management which is running the awards for the 21st year.  The aim of these awards is to celebrate manufacturing excellence in the UK.

The Made in the North East Awards are designed to celebrate and reward the innovation and technological expertise that the North East region of the UK is home to.  Analox is shortlisted for the Innovation Award alongside two other companies.

For more than 30 years, Analox Ltd has designed and manufactured gas analysis equipment for a variety of niche markets, including military, commercial and sport diving and the hospitality industry.  Many of Analox’s products are market leaders in their sectors.

Mark Lewis, Managing Director of Analox Ltd, said: “Both of these award nominations reflect the efforts and commitment of staff throughout our entire business.  Continuous improvement is an important part of our company ethos, and we encourage innovation, whether it’s an idea for a new product or an alteration to internal processes which will improve how we work."

The Best Factory Awards 2012 are run by Cranfield School of Management with the magazine Works Management.  The winners of the awards will be announced at a ceremony at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel, London, on Tuesday, 28th September, 2012.

The Made in the North East Awards are run by Insider, with the winners being announced on Tuesday, 2nd October, 2012 at an awards dinner at the Radisson Blu in Durham.
